Why is Sam Harris cutting his podcasts short only allowing patrons to hear out the full episode? I thought his mission was to find the biggest audience so he can reach the biggest amount of people? I used to listen to this podcast a lot before this change happened.

First and foremost, both of you are my heroes. It was with great interest that one of the initial points made in the podcast were examples of smart people being clueless about certain things. That is precisely the concern I have whenever Bill makes a point about Covid or medicine in general. On at least two dozen previous occasions, Bill makes a point about medicine, science, and how it is not perfect and each time, I wonder what is the exact point he is trying to make? My guess is that he did not like how Covid was handled and how the vaccine was mandated for a population that at its core, is a collection of American citizens who value individual liberty above community and because of their discipline, do not understand science or just how damn difficult it is to deal with a black swan event in real time (no pun intended). On one of the Club Random podcasts, it was clear that a "smart" physician was advising him on issues regarding medicine. My only advice is to get, as he suggests, a second opinion because each time he talks about medicine and science, it is patently clear that he has little idea or regard on how it works. As a physician, each time he goes on this diatribe, I can only cringe at his lack of understanding on the topic. Regarding Covid, it is fairly clear that he wanted everything to be business as usual. Fine, he can trumpet that restrospective opinion because he can never be proven wrong since that approach was not employed (and for good reason) and he can hide under that fact that it probably never would have been (or ever will be) implemented due to the data, mortality/hospitlization modeling, and finite resources. Nevertheless, it was a very enjoyable conversation. Thanks.

This is the 2nd big topic that I disagree with Sam on. Bill and Sam are both believing in the propaganda that pro-Palestine protesters in the US are defending Hamas. It's like the fact of genocide is not nearly as important to them. It doesn't matter how bad Hamas is because what Israel is doing (genocide against Palestine) is much worse. Hamas could be equivalent to Hitler. It's immoral and counter productive to commit genocide to destroy Hamas, and same goes for the theoretical commiting of genocide to kill Hitler. I've lost a lot of faith in Sam for claiming to be so moral yet blowing off the fact that 15000 babies have been bombed by the terrorist organization that's called Israel.
